Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor recently welcomed their first child. The couple has now become parents of a baby girl. They named their daughter Raha.   The duo tied the knot on April 14 this year and announced the pregnancy in June. Bramastra actress Alia never shied away of sharing her pregnancy experience.

In a recent interview, Alia Bhatt opens about Body positivity and how women are worried about their weight gain during pregnancy. She said, “I really want to talk about this. A lot of women struggle with their new appearance post-pregnancy. They tend to put a lot of pressure on themselves to get back to looking a certain way. Everyone wants to lose weight and I can relate to that. I love food, I love to eat and I had to lose weight because films are a visual medium and you need to look healthy. You have to look appealing. “

She further explained her points said, “In today’s age, with every picture appearing on social media, girls even before pregnancy are constantly worried about how they look. Women should take a moment to appreciate their bodies. It’s not just about getting back in shape, but building your immunity, and then, everything will follow. Now when I work out, I don’t do it to become thin or make my waist look smaller. I do it to be healthy. The idea is to be fit and not starve yourself by following some unhealthy diet. I made a decision to never be hard on myself even if there’s extra bloating or chubbiness here and there. I am going to celebrate it. I won’t torture myself..."

Alia announced arrival of her baby girl with a caption  "And in the best news of our lives:- Our baby is here...and what a magical girl she is. We are officially bursting with love - Blessed and obsessed parents!!!! Love love love Alia and Ranbir. They also reveals their daughter’s name and wrote, "The name Raha (chosen by her wise and wonderful Dadi) has so many beautiful meanings...Raha, in its purest form means divine path in Swahili she is Joy, In Sanskrit, Raha is a clan, In Bangla - rest, comfort, relief, in Arabic peace, it also means happiness, freedom & bliss."
