I&B Minister questions Congress' objections over trailer release of 'accidental Prime Minister'

Information and Broadcasting Minister Col. Rajyavardhan  Rathore has  asked the grand old  Congress party  for raising objections to the film "Accidental Prime Minister" - " a biopic  which is inspired on the life and works of former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh. The trailer of the movie was out  on Thursday. The movie is based on the book by same name authored by Sanjay Baru who served as the former PM's media advisor from his tenure  2004 to 2008.

"Can’t we extend our wishes for a film? Congress has been all for freedom, why is it questioning that freedom now?" Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.

Meanwhile on Thursday, the BJP shared the trailer of the film- The Accidental Prime Minister, on its official Twitter handle. "Riveting tale of how a family held the country to ransom for 10 long years. Was Dr Singh just a regent who was holding on to the PM’s chair till the time heir was ready? Watch the official trailer of The Accidental Prime Minister, based on an insider’s account, releasing on 11 Jan!" BJP stated in a tweet on Thursday.

Worth mention here Rahul Gandhi led Congress party has raised objections to the film terming it as a propaganda.. I&B minister Rathore underscored the significance of creative freedom.
