The first-ever ICC U19 Women's T20 World Cup schedule has been released. The competition will take conducted in South Africa from January 14 to January 29 of 2023. The competition has 16 teams and is one of the largest ICC events in history. Over the course of 15 days, 41 matches will be played. The locations were made public last month, with Benoni and Potchefstroom serving as the host cities. In January 2020, both cities played host to the ICC U19 Men's Cricket World Cup.

Four of the seats were determined by regional qualifiers, while the final spot went to the USA because it was the only Associate nation in the Americas allowed to compete under the ICC's Tournament Pathway Participation Criteria at the time. Qualification for the event started in June 2022.

Four groups of the 16 teams—11 full ICC members and 5 associate teams—have been formed. The top three teams from each group advance to the Super Six League stage, where Group A teams face Group D opponents and Group B teams face Group C opponents.

Rwanda and Indonesia are the two nations that have never taken part in an ICC World Cup competition. While Indonesia defeated Papua New Guinea to win the East Asia-Pacific group in July, Rwanda defeated Tanzania on Monday, September 12, to become the last team to qualify for the competition.

Each day will include four matches, starting with Australia vs. Bangladesh on the first day, South Africa vs. India at the Main Oval in Willowmoore Park in Benoni, UAE vs. Scotland, and USA vs. Sri Lanka at the B Oval.

The Super Six stage starts on January 20. On January 27, the semi-finals will be played, and on January 29, the final will be played at Potchefstroom's JB Marks Oval. The final has a reserve day set for January 30. 16 exhibition games will be played between January 9 and January 11 in Johannesburg and Tshwane.
