The next year's ICC Women's Cricket World Cup 2021 in New Zealand has been canceled for February-March 2022 due to the Covid-19 epidemic. In addition, important decisions have also been issued regarding the men's T20 World Cup. The T20 World Cup to be held in 2021 will now be in India, while Australia will host the 2022 tournament.

The ICC said in a statement that the decision was taken by the ICC after a comprehensive contingency planning exercise taking into account the health, cricket, and commercial impact of the coronavirus worldwide. ICC Executive Chairman Emraan Khwaja said, 'Over the last few months as we have discussed how we can stage global events, protecting the health and safety of all those involved in ICC events is our greatest priority has been maintained.'

He said that the decision taken by the board today is in the interest of the game, our partners, and importantly our fans. I would like to thank my colleagues in BCCI, Cricket Australia and Cricket New Zealand as well as Australians and New Zealand for their continued support and commitment to safe return to BCCI tournaments.
