Jerusalem: The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have released a video showcasing the destruction of tunnels used by Hamas terrorists in Gaza. The video, shared on various platforms, displays the IDF troops' operations in identifying and neutralizing the tunnel shafts that harbor Hamas militants in Gaza. These tunnels have been a persistent security concern for Israel, and the IDF's recent efforts have been aimed at eliminating this threat.

The Gaza conflict, which began on October 7, has witnessed ongoing violence and tensions. It began when Hamas militants initiated attacks in southern Israel, leading to casualties and kidnappings. In response, Israel launched a substantial military operation in Gaza. Unfortunately, medics in the Hamas-controlled territory report a significant loss of life, with over 8,000 people killed, including a substantial number of children.

The conflict has garnered international attention and concern. Last week, the United Nations General Assembly passed a resolution urging an immediate humanitarian truce between Israel and Hamas. However, Israel strongly rejected this call for a ceasefire, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu emphasizing that such an action would be seen as surrendering to Hamas.

Israel has expressed its commitment to the ongoing military operation until the Hamas threat is eliminated. Prime Minister Netanyahu recently announced the commencement of the "second phase" of the campaign, which aims to target Hamas both above and below ground. Describing the conflict as a battle for Israel's survival, Prime Minister Netanyahu stressed that the second phase of the ground operation would be challenging but expressed confidence in Israel's ultimate victory. This video release by the IDF serves as a testament to the ongoing efforts to neutralize the tunnel threat posed by Hamas in Gaza.
