Raipur: Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel on Wednesday launched a scathing attack on the leaders of the opposition BJP on the issue of 'Love Jihad'. Taking a dig at the BJP leaders, he said that 'their daughters do love while others do Jihad'. Baghel had arrived at Akaltari village in Bilaspur district for a private function. In a discussion with reporters, he accused the BJP of trying to bake political bread on the incident of violence in Biranpur's village of Bemetara.

Chief Minister Baghel said that the BJP neither understood the need to investigate the incident nor waited for the report. The BJP called for a bandh on the second day. Due to this, a similar situation has been created in the state as what has happened in Chhattisgarh. Death occurred in a fight between two children. Someone's death is sad. This cannot be justified. But, in the guise of this, efforts are being made to bake political bread. Attacking the BJP leaders on the issue of 'Love Jihad', Chief Minister Baghel said, They talk about Love Jihad. If we talk about the big leaders of the BJP, then with whom have all their daughters married? With Muslims. Isn't that love jihad? I don't know where the daughter of the biggest leader of Chhattisgarh is... She does not love jihad. If their daughters do love, then do Jihad for others...

Baghel asked the BJP leaders whether you tried to stop them. You just have to bake political bread. Keep your son-in-law as a minister, keep him as an MP, and impose another law for others. The CM said that after the incident of violence in Biranpur village, the office bearers of Sahu Samaj had met him. The commissioner has issued orders to conduct an inquiry into the incident. The government has announced that it will give a government job to a member of the deceased youth's family and an assistance of Rs 10 lakh.
