New Delhi: Deputy Chief Minister of the national capital Delhi Manish Sisodia was to appear before the CBI today in connection with the liquor scam, but he wrote a letter to the CBI saying that he was preparing the Delhi budget, so he was given at least a week's time. CBI has accepted his demand and a summons will be sent to him again for questioning. Meanwhile, Sisodia claimed that he could have been arrested today.

Manish Sisodia claimed that he was apprehensive that BJP would get him arrested today. I am not afraid of arrest and am not running away from questions. The Deputy Chief Minister said that if the BJP wants to take revenge, then take it, but not at the cost of derailing the budget of the people of Delhi. Regarding this statement of Sisodia, AAP spokesperson Saurabh Bhardwaj said that CBI and ED are working in a political way.

Saurabh Bhardwaj said that the decision to arrest Manish Sisodia was taken after the Supreme Court dealt a blow to the BJP and the Centre. Manish Sisodia is also the Finance Minister of Delhi. The G-20 summit is to be organized in Delhi, so the budget of Delhi has to be given priority. Sisodia's arrest will cause problems in the salaries of the employees and many projects will get stuck. He should inquire after the presentation of Delhi's budget. Speaking about the liquor policy of Delhi, Bhardwaj said that the liquor policy was the most wonderful policy. This policy would have benefited the government one and a half times, and even the prices of liquor would not have increased. This policy was implemented in Punjab and the revenue in Punjab has increased. AAP alleged that the LG of Delhi did not allow one-third of the shops to open. Due to fear of ED CBI, the retailer of liquor shops surrendered his license. That's why the liquor policy was withdrawn so that 6 thousand crores would be spent by opening government shops.
