New Delhi: Deputy Chief Minister of the national capital Delhi, Manish Sisodia has made a big claim after being summoned by the CBI regarding the issue of liquor policy. He has said that today (February 19) CBI could have arrested him. CBI can issue a second summons to Sisodia soon.
He said that he had already feared that the BJP would get him arrested today. He further said, 'I am not afraid of arrest nor am I running away from questions. If the BJP wants to take revenge, then take it, but this revenge should not be taken at the cost of derailing the budget of the people of Delhi.' Manish Sisodia said, 'I cooperated with the CBI in every investigation in the matter of excise policy, every time I cooperated with the inquiry. But this is an important time for Delhi because I am currently preparing the budget for Delhi for the next one year. The complete preparation of the budget is at the final stage. By the end of February, I have to prepare it and send it to the central government for approval. That's why I have appealed to the CBI officers to call me at the end of February, I have no problem. I will answer all the questions.'
He further said that if we look at the development of the last few days, the decision of the Supreme Court related to the MCD mayor came on Friday evening. BJP came completely on backfoot and on Saturday morning they sent me a notice to come on Sunday morning. If they want to avenge the humiliating defeat in the Supreme Court and harass me, then do it. Such politics and taking revenge is their habit. But don't derail the work of the people of Delhi. Sisodia said that if the budget of Delhi is not made. If I am not able to finalize the budget on time, then only the people of Delhi will be at a loss. If they want to take revenge on me, then take it. put me in jail But not at the cost of the work of the people of Delhi. Referring to the arrest, Sisodia said that he had already apprehension that he would be arrested this time. If they have to be arrested due to BJP, then do it after some time. But do not take this retaliatory action now, derailing the budget process means that all the work will stop.
