Guwahati: RTI activist and MLA from Sivasagar Akhil Gogoi on Wednesday demanded the implementation of a provision like Article 370 in Assam for the "constitutional protection" of the natives of the state. Razor Dal President Gogoi has said that, 'We demanded from the central government to implement provisions like Article 370 or 371 (A), 371 (F) 371 (J) in Assam to give constitutional protection to the people of the state. Is. The indigenous people of the state will not be safe until security measures like Article 370 or 371 (A) are implemented.

Explain that Article 370 gives special rights to any state in terms of autonomy and ability to make laws for the permanent residents of the state. Until a few years ago, Jammu and Kashmir had this special status. At the same time, apart from Article 370, special provisions have been made for many states in Article 371. No law of the Indian Parliament applies to the cultural and religious matters of the people of Nagaland. The law of the Parliament and any order of the Supreme Court will not apply to the customary laws and traditions of the Naga people. With this, the land of Nagaland will not be transferred to non-Nagas.

Opposing 100% amendment in the National Register of Citizens (NRC), the only MLA of his party said that there should be a partial amendment in its place. Gogoi said that 100% amendment of NRC is undemocratic, unconstitutional. NRC is an issue only for BJP. They have no agenda to provide security to the indigenous people of Assam.
