Banking crisis in America has increased the fear of economic recession. Experts say that if the recession hits America, then its effect will be seen all over the world. Meanwhile, Vijay Kedia, a veteran investor in the stock market, believes that while maintaining his optimistic outlook on the domestic equity market, the government's emphasis on infrastructure, GST and PLI (Production Linked Incentive) schemes will have a positive impact on the country's economy. Economy is starting to show.

Vijay Kedia has said this about the Indian economy at a time when there is talk of recession in developed markets including America. Kedia said- 'If there is recession in America, we have practical policies led by Modi to deal with this situation.' This is the reason why the benchmark equity indices are only 5 to 6 per cent away from their all-time high levels despite the ongoing uncertainties in the global markets. The 30-share index BSE Sensex was trading at 60,171 in the morning trade of April 25. The index reached an all-time high of 63,583 on December 1, 2022. Vijay Kedia feels that the market is preparing for new highs.

He told that I think if there is a recession, it will be mild. Available data from Trendline shows that Vijay Kedia holds more than one per cent stake each in companies such as Patel Engineering, Precision Camshafts, Affordable Robotics & Automation, Atul Auto, Nuland Laboratories and Vaibhav Global. Vijay Kedia is also of the view that further rate hike by the US Fed may not affect the Indian equity market. Sharing his views on the banking sector, Vijay Kedia said that the next 2-3 years would be good for the lenders. However, investors should adopt a stock specific approach in the banking sector. He said that the IT sector does not see any opportunity for 3-6 months. Kedia said, "Any recovery in the US economy and market can open opportunities for investors in the IT sector."
