New Delhi: Union External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has reacted to the controversial statement made by former Congress President Rahul Gandhi in the US. Sometimes some things are bigger than politics and especially when you step out of the country. Talking about collective responsibility, Jaishankar said that they do not go abroad and do politics there.

Let us know that Rahul Gandhi, who is on a US tour, is constantly targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Indian government. At the same time, they are also calling a party like Muslim League secular. Keep in mind that this is the same Muslim League, which was described by Nehru's first PM and Rahul's great-grandfather Jawaharlal Nehru as violent and radical.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar is currently in South Africa to attend the BRICS Foreign Ministers' meeting. There, while talking to the people of the Indian community, a person questioned Rahul Gandhi's statement without naming him. On this, the Foreign Minister said, 'I can make my point. I try not to do politics when I go abroad. If I have to debate, I will do it in my country India.' He further said that in a democratic country, all people have a collective responsibility, national interest and collective image. The Foreign Minister said that some things are above politics. These are the things you should keep in mind when you step out of the country.

Let me tell you, while giving a speech in front of the people of Indian origin in Santa Clara, America, Rahul Gandhi called PM Modi a sample. He had alleged that minorities, Dalits and tribal communities were being persecuted under the PM Modi-led government. "The way you (Muslims) are feeling right now, I can guarantee that Sikhs, Christians, Dalits and tribals are also feeling the same way. You can't cut hate from hate, it can only be done through love."

Rahul Gandhi, while giving a speech in California, USA, even said that nowadays some people in India believe that PM Modi knows more than God. But, Modi can sit with God and explain to him how the universe works. "If Modi ji sits down with God, god will also be surprised at what he has made."
