Shimla: PM Narendra Modi reached Shimla on Tuesday morning to mark the completion of 8 years of his government, where he interacted with the beneficiaries of various government schemes. During this conversation, a funny incident was seen, when PM Modi told a woman that if she was a BJP worker, she would have contested the elections.

Actually, PM Modi questioned Santoshi, a woman from Kalaburagi, Karnataka, which government schemes have benefited her. On this, Santoshi expressed his gratitude to PM Modi and spoke in detail. Santoshi is the beneficiary of Ayushman Bharat Health and Wellness Center Scheme. Speaking in Kannada language, he said, 'Respected Prime Minister, earlier our house, village did not have this facility. There was a lot of problem at that time. It was difficult to get medicine, but ever since the Health and Wellness Center is open with us. Entire village people including my mother are getting benefits. Medicines are available free of cost, we are all healthy.

After listening to Santoshi, PM Modi said that he (PM) is impressed by the way she expresses her views and if she was a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) worker, he would have asked her to contest the elections. PM Modi said that, 'You were speaking in Kannada, but I was feeling your words, how much satisfaction you have got.'
