New Delhi: Coronavirus spread across the world from Wuhan city of China has created an outcry. This virus has spread panic among people. Coronavirus has also strengthened its grip in India. During the last 24 hours, more than 32 thousand new cases have been registered so far. The number of infected people has so far crossed 9.69 lakh. Meanwhile, the Indian Institute of Science (IISC) has made an estimate.

According to the IISC, by March 2021, the total corona patients will reach 37.4 lakh in the best condition in the country.  6.18 crore people will fall prey to the virus in the worst case. The IISC model is a paradigm in mathematical modeling of infectious diseases and is based on the country's coronavirus data and the corona case that surfaced between March 23 and June 18 of this year. However, the estimates are also likely to be different in view of the current corona situation in the country.

In the worst scenario launch of this model, Corona is not expected to reach a peak in India by the end of March 2021. In the best scenario, Corona can reach a peak in India by the second week of September or October. The model insisted on lockdown of one or two days each week to cut the rate of new infections. This study states that one or two days of lockdown each week and people following social distancing can significantly reduce infection.
