The Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IITH) is seeking qualified women candidates to join as Assistant Professors across various departments. Interested and eligible individuals can apply online through the official website, iith.ac.in, before the deadline of December 22nd.

There are openings available in 15 departments, including Artificial Intelligence, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Entrepreneurship and Management, Biotechnology, Liberal Arts, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering, Chemistry, Mathematics, Civil Engineering, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Physics, and Design.

Candidates should be below 35 years of age, although there is an age relaxation for SC candidates up to 40 years and for OBC/NCL up to 38 years.

Eligibility criteria differ based on the grade:

Assistant Professor Grade I (Pay Level 12): Candidates need a minimum of three years of post-PhD teaching/research/professional experience, excluding the experience gained during the PhD. Demonstrated research capabilities through publications in esteemed journals and conferences, as well as patents, are required. The minimum pay is Rs. 1,01,500 (Matrix pay level 12), along with allowances, as per the 7th CPC. After three years of satisfactory service, they may move to Pay Level 13A1.

Assistant Professor Grade II (Pay Level 10/11): Those with less than three years of post-PhD industrial/research/teaching experience can apply for this level. The minimum basic pay is Rs. 98,200/- along with allowances. Upon satisfactory completion of three years of post-PhD experience, candidates may be considered for promotion to Assistant Professor Grade I through an internal assessment.

Applicants who have previously applied within the last two years can highlight significant improvements in their CV since their last application. Separate applications are required for candidates applying for positions in multiple departments. Moreover, applicants should submit their valid SC/ST/OBC-NCL certificate issued by the competent authority in the prescribed format along with the application form to support their claim.
