CHENNAI: The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) has recorded 1,199 job offers in all, which is the highest ever during campus placements in a single academic year.
According to a statement released by the prestigious institute on Monday, up to 80% of students who opt campus placements for 2021–2022 received job offers during placement.
From 14 companies, including Glean, Micron Technologies, Honda R&D, Cohesity, Da Vinci Derivatives, Accenture Japan, Hilabs Inc., Quantbox Research, MediaTek, Money Forward, Rubrik, Termgrid, and Uber, 45 job offers came from outside the country.
Moreover, throughout Phases first and Second of campus placement, 131 start-ups made as many as 199 offers. All 61 MBA aspirants were also placed this season, giving the Department of Management Studies a placement rate of 100 percent.

ents would pay students an average salary of Rs 21.48 lakh per year for the academic year 2021–2022. The highest salary on offer was $250,000 USD.
In the phase-I of placements 2022 a total of 1500 students registered for placements during the 2021-22, and 1316 offers were made by 226 participating recruiters including which 45 international offers were made by 14 recruiters and 62 start-ups made 186 offers.
