According to the IMD's predictions, thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and extremely heavy rainfall are expected in isolated regions of Papum Pare and West Kameng districts, with similar weather patterns anticipated in East Kameng and Pakke-Kessang districts on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively.

Additionally, thunderstorms with lightning and very heavy rainfall are forecasted in Kurung Kumey, Lower Subansiri, Shi-Yomi, West Siang, Lohit, Changlang, Tirap, and Longding districts during this period.

The IMD further warns of thunderstorms with lightning and very heavy rainfall in Pakke-Kessang, Papum Pare, Siang, Lohit, East Kameng, West Kameng, Kurung Kumey, West Siang, and Lower Dibang Valley districts on May 29 and 30.

Chief Minister Khandu, reacting to the situation, emphasized the importance of adhering to precautionary measures and avoiding at-risk locations. He urged citizens to stay informed and reach out to district administrations in case of emergencies.
