New Delhi: Heavy rains continue to lash many parts of the country these days. Several districts of Maharashtra and Gujarat are seen submerged in water. Landslides are being reported at many places from the hill state of Uttarakhand to Himachal Pradesh. This has increased the problems of the people. At the same time, the sultry heat in the regions of North India is not taking the name of stopping. According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), Delhi, and Haryana are likely to receive rainfall today, July 16.

According to the MET department, today's minimum temperature in Delhi may remain at 28 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature will go up to 37 degrees Celsius. Due to this, it will be cloudy during the day and there may be good rainfall in the capital. Many cities in Madhya Pradesh are on rain alert. In Bhopal city, today's minimum temperature will be 24 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature will be 33 degrees Celsius. It will rain here today too. In Maharashtra, the death toll due to floods and rains has gone up. So far, 102 people have died in the state. In the last 24 hours, three people have lost their lives. In Maharashtra, the situation is bad due to heavy rains. 14 teams of NDRF and 6 teams of SDRF have been deployed for relief and rescue operations. An orange alert has been issued in Palghar, Pune and Satara today. A yellow alert has been sounded today in Mumbai, Thane, Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Nashik, Kolhapur, Akola, Amravati, Bhandara, Buldhana, Chandrapur, Gadchiroli, Gondia, Nagpur, Wardha, Washim and Yavatmal. In Gujarat too, the death toll has crossed 100. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rainfall at several places across Gujarat, including the Saurashtra region, for the next few days.

Due to the next 24 hours, Gujarat, Vidarbha, Konkan and Goa, coastal Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, east Rajasthan and Kerala are likely to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall at some places with light to moderate rainfall. Light to moderate rainfall is possible over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Light rain is likely to occur over Delhi, Haryana, Bihar, south interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Rayalaseema.
