Chennai: For the first time in India, a transgender person became an auto driver in 2000 and worked for the people. The livelihood of transgender people was also severely affected due to the curfew that was born due to the corona epidemic. Transgender Vaishnavi, who was an auto driver in a situation where the lifestyle of transgender people is changing in every way, has been suffering from non-income for the last two years as share autos are not operating properly.

Following this, transgender people Vaishnavi and Ramyavi Shaga have opened tea and snack shops with the help of the Rotary Club on the Tiruvottiyur Highway near the Thandayarpet Metro Railway Station.

Transgender people have set up tea and snack shops to raise awareness of the need for a few transgender people to change their lives as transgender people change their lifestyle in different ways in each field. Many have praised their efforts.

Chennai North Transport Joint Commissioner Lalita Lakshmi and Deputy Transport Commissioner Pradeep inaugurated the tea shops in Thandayarpet.
