Imran Tahir is considered one of the best spinners in cricket history. Imran Tahir has a great performance in IPL. He takes wickets fiercely in IPL. Imran Tahir has played a total of 55 matches so far in IPL. In which he took 79 wickets at an average of 20.39. Tahir has played 107 ODIs, 38 T20s and 20 Test matches for South Africa and has taken 173, 63 and 57 wickets respectively.
Imran was born in Pakistan and Imran has also played under-19 cricket for Pakistan. Imran has also played under-19 World Cup for Pakistan. However, now Imran plays international cricket for the South Africa team. Imran Tahir could not be selected in the national team in Pakistan. Imran said in a statement, "I used to play cricket in Lahore. I played a lot of cricket in my career in Pakistan but I did not get a chance to play in the national team, and I am very disappointed with it. The decision to leave Pakistan was very difficult, but Allah has favoured me and the credit for coming to South Africa goes to my wife. After following the law of 4 years in the country, Imran Tahir was eligible to play for South Africa. He has retired from ODIs and Test cricket, but he still wants to play T-20 cricket for South Africa."
