Berlin: Two alleged Hezbollah members have been detained in Germany, according to federal prosecutors, who say they were involved in organising and recruiting for the Shiite movement backed by Iran.
Hassan M., a Lebanese national, and Abdul-Latif W., a dual German-Lebanese citizen, were arrested in northern Germany, according to a statement from the federal prosecutor's office.
Hassan M. and Abdul-Latif W. joined the group "at the latest" in 2016, according to the statement. Both of them are currently accused of "membership of a foreign terrorist organisation."
