Gujarat: Sonam Kapoor’a starrer film “Neerja” was today declared tax free in Ahmadabad,Gujarat.
As the movie like Airlift and Neerja which is based on super heroes of India who saved life of Indian citizens. Before Neerja, Airlift also became tax free in Bihar.
Regarding the Neerja government of Gujarat issued an official notice.Neeerja is based on the story of Neerja Bhanot who saved the life of 360 passengers from terrorist.
The announcement was made on 25th February, after Sonam’s father Anil Kapoor and the film producer Atul Kasbekar,held a meeting with CM Anandiben Patel in Gandhinagar.
Anil told to media after the meeting with CM, “We were here to make an appeal to the CM about making the movie tax-free. We are confident the CM will consider our appeal”
While Anandinben at the time of meeting praised the subject of the movie ,according to Kasbekar.
The movie is the biopic of the flight attendant Neerja , and it is revolves around the 1986 hijacking of Pan Am Flight 73 in Karachi and how the 22 year brave Neerja managed to save the lives of her passengers. The movie is directed by Ram Madhvani.
Maharashtra has already declared the film tax-free.
