New Delhi: Compared to the same month last year, Kia India registered sales of 23,323 units as against 16,331 units in October 2022. With two months left in the year, the company has also crossed 2 lakh in sales.
Kia sold 181,583 automobiles in the country in 2021. Compared to the same period last year, the company registered a growth of 43%. Additionally, Kia has started shipping its first electric car, the Kia EV6, to customers in India.
Kia India sold the Seltos SUV 9,777 times in October. Kia Sonet and Carens have 7,614 and 5,479 units respectively.

The company's top-of-the-line MPV Kia Carnival saw strong sales of 301 units in October 2022. In fact, throughout the month the Kia EV6 cars were sold and made available for delivery to the customers.
Kia India's Anantapur plant in Andhra Pradesh has also crossed the 1.5 lakh export milestone. Seltos, sonnets and cairns are distributed by the company in 95 countries in the Middle East, Africa, Central and South America, Mexico and Asia Pacific.
According to Hardeep Singh Brar, Vice President and Head of Sales and Marketing, Kia India, the demand that all Kia products enable us to usher in exciting times for the brand in the Indian market.

This shows us that our product strategy was good from the start. With two months to go, we are confident that we will end the year at an all-time high as we have already crossed the 2 lakh sales mark in CY 2022.

The year-on-year YTD growth of 35% in 2021 reflects the growing brand loyalty of Indian consumers towards Kia. The popularity of the EV6 in the market reflects Kia's strength in the premium and luxury markets.
