Following the guidelines of the Central Government to open the lockdown in the country, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh issued orders to make guidelines for opening religious places, hotels, restaurants, shopping malls etc. in the state from 8 June. Along with this, he also issued orders to open barber shops, salons, beauty parlors, spas, liquor and all essential commodities shops in the non-containment zone in the state from June 1.
For your information, let us tell you that all the shops in rural and urban areas except liquor will be open from 7 am to 7 pm. The liquor store will be from 8 am to 8 pm. He also ordered the Health and Transport Department to prepare comprehensive guidelines aimed at starting acceptable activities and movement in non-container zones in the new phase of lockdown starting from June 1 to June 30. On the other hand, only necessary activities will be allowed in the Containment Zones and strict rules will be enforced in these zones.
Apart from this, instructions have been given to the district authorities to identify buffer zones outside the Containment Zones, where only necessary activities will be allowed, just like Containment Zones. Section-144 will be applicable in place of curfew on the lines of the guidelines of the Center from 9 am to 5 am in the state. During this time, all types of non-essential services will be closed in the entire state. All district authorities have been given the right to act in this regard. During this period, only out of the house will be allowed for urgent activities.
