The second wave of the covid epidemic in the country has again started to catch up. Within the last 10 days, the number of covid infected patients has also doubled. On March 16, 24,492 new cases were found, while more than 62000 new covid infected on Saturday are also increasing fear of covid. Earlier last year, 16 October 63,371 new cases were reported. After about 3 months, 291 patients have lost their lives in 24 hours. The number of corona-infected active patients in the country has now crossed 4.5 lakh.

As per the data updated at 8 am on behalf of the Union Health ministry, 62,258 new cases of coronavirus infection were reported in a day and the figure of the infections has risen to 1 crore 19 lakh 8 thousand. According to the Ministry of Health, new cases have registered an increase on the 17th day continuously. The figure of patients active in the country has now increased to 4,52,647, which is 3.80 percent of the total cases of infection, while the rate of recovery of patients has also started declining and has now come down to 94.85 percent, while the mortality rate has come down to 1.35 percent.

More than 23 crore corona tests in the country so far: Where it has been revealed that 23 crore 97 lakh 69 thousand 553 covid tests have been conducted across the country till March 26 after testing 11.64 lakh samples on Friday. According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 11,64,915 tests have been conducted on Friday. The health department said corona infection is rapidly increasing in six states-Maharashtra, Punjab, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. These states have reported 79.57 percent of the infections that have been reported between the last 24 hours. Maharashtra has the highest number of 36,902 new cases.
