Bangalore: The court divorced a couple on the ground that the wife had to make only Maggi. Whenever the husband asked for breakfast or food, the wife would boil the Maggi and give it. Maggie in the morning, Maggie in the afternoon, Maggie at night... The husband got upset after eating Maggi and filed for divorce in the court. Hearing the pain of the husband, the court also accepted the divorce petition of both the husband and wife by mutual consent.

Mysore Principal Distic and Sessions Court Judge M L Raghunath, referring to the matter at a press conference on Friday, said that a similar case came to him when he was the district judge in Bellary. Justice M L Raghunath, who is talking to the press on the increasing number of divorce cases on small things, said that a husband filed for divorce in the court on the ground that his wife only knows how to make Maggi.

Justice M L Raghunath said, these days people are asking for divorce on small things. Just a few days after the marriage, people are seeking divorce due to lack of mutual coordination. He said that people have also filed a divers' application on the basis of putting salt in the wrong place in the plate or not liking the colour of the wedding suit. Justice Raghunath said that the applications being filed in divorce cases have similar cases of both arranged and love marriage. It cannot be said that those with arranged marriages are getting more divorces or those with love marriages are taking more divorces.
