London: Greta Thunberg, a resident of Sweden who has been campaigning for change in climate, has also advocated postponing the proposed NEET and JEE for admission in medical and engineering in India. In a tweet, she said that in this phase of transition of Covid-19, it is not right to take the exam. The 17-year-old Thunberg, who agitated for climate change, has become the voice of the world. A magazine named her as the 'Person of the Year 2019.'

It is also being said that about 4,000 students went on a day Hunger strike on Sunday for the request to postpone the proposed National Eligibility and Admission Test (NEET) for admission in the medical and Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) fixed for admission in engineering.  Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee and DMK leader MK Stalin have also appealed to postpone the examinations. It is being said that a lot of voices are being raised in the country about postponing the NEET exam. After conducting both exams in the Covid-19 period, after Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, now Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also raised questions on conducting exams in the Covid-19 period.

Rahul Gandhi has demanded from the government that the government will have to listen to the minds of students of JEE Main and NEET exams. He has tweeted and said that today lakhs of our students are speaking something to the government. Their talks about NEeT and JEE should be heard BY the government and they must find a meaningful solution. It is worth noting that the National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced to conduct JEE (Main) from September 1 to 6 and NEET-UG on September 13. After this, there is a demand from the government to postpone the exam during the Covid-19 transition.
