Dehradun: The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of rain in many districts of Uttarakhand even today. According to the department, light to moderate drizzling has been expressed elsewhere in Uttarkashi, Pauri, Chamoli, Pithoragarh, Almora, Nainital, Rudraprayag and Bageshwar Districts. At the same time, in the plains area including the capital Dehradun, there has been sunshine since morning. 117 roads that were closed due to debris in the rain, were opened on Saturday. However, 210 roads are still closed. On Saturday, traffic was affected due to debris on some roads.

According to the report of the Public Works Department, on Saturday, 4 National Highways, 7 State Highways, 8 Main District Roads, 3 other District Roads have been disrupted. Maximum 82 rural routes and 106 PMGSY roads are still closed. 305 machines have been installed to open these roads. Badrinath Highway is still blocked in Khetrapal, Totaghati and Pagalnala. After 3 days the highway has been opened in Pinola. But the movement has become very dangerous. People are going to walk here by putting their lives at risk.

Due to the closure of the highway here, about 80 passengers trapped in the vehicles and people were waiting for the highway to open. At the same time, the Rishikesh-Badrinath highway at Totaghati in Srinagar is closed for the 7th day.
