Jammu: On Saturday, 4 more people, including a woman, died due to infection in Jammu region of Jammu and Kashmir. With this, the number of people who lost their lives to this infection in Jammu region has increased to 45. Officers told about this that all the four were also suffering from other serious diseases and 3 of them were admitted to the Government Medical College (GMC) Hospital in critical condition on Friday itself.
The officials further informed that the 60-year-old woman resident of Kishtwar was undergoing treatment at GMC Hospital for the past several days. This is his first death from Corona in the Kishtwar district. He further said that the 3 men who died of corona include a 45-year-old man from Poonch, a 70-year-old elder from Marah village in Jammu and a 70-year-old elder from Samba District.
The number of corona patients in Jammu is increasing rapidly. So far, 6,994 people have been confirmed infected with corona infection in the state, out of which 5,493 have become healthy. Officers have further told that 1,456 patients are being treated in Jammu division. He has further told that the highest number of deaths in Jammu district till date is due to corona. Apart from this, 3-3 patients have died in Poonch and Rajouri, 2-2 in Udhampur, Doda and Samba and 1-1 in Ramban, Kishtwar and Kathua due to corona infection.
