Pune: Army Chief General Bipin Rawat on Saturday said that China is trying to "change the status quo" on its border with India, and there is a possibility of such incidents like the deadlock in the Dokalam area, which is likely to grow in the future.

Rawat said, "China is trying to change the status quo stance in the current deadlock in Dokalam. We need to worry about this and I think such incidents are likely to grow in the future." 

Rawat said, "Disputed claims are ongoing about the dispute and area. This is due to different assumptions on the determination of the actual LC."

He said that during the flag meeting with the Chinese army, the Indian Army continued to say that both the sides had been in place before June 16 ( Before the deadlock began), should be returned but there is no solution yet.

"Now it is happening at the diplomatic and political level because it needs to be resolved through diplomacy and political initiatives."

He said that armed forces of China, especially the soldiers in China's autonomous region, gathered in Tibet Has made significant progress in the capabilities of running and campaigning.
