Human crisis is the biggest curse in the world till today where a basic demand of life seems to be out of reach to a larger population around the world. There have been several countries where the crises are on extreme side and will take handful of assistance from around the globe to overcome their prevailing situation.

South Sudan has been a country that got amalgamated to Africa after various hard comes but still it doesn’t seem to be its solution. It has become the 54th country of Africa but it didn’t stop the massive loss of life, destruction, and displacement that impacted the region. These issues have topped the 50 year of country’s conflict.

Sudan being rich in oil fields has been a source of economic optimism. The country ranks among the worst in development ranks in the world. 2013 was the worst year for the Sudan as civil war has broke out in the country leaving a harsh impact on overall matters. The war has broken out between the Kiir and Machar that has lead to the removal of Machar as vice president. Breakout happened between the presidential guard soldiers from the two largest ethnic groups in South Sudan. From the outbreak of conflict, armed groups targeted groups along ethnic lines, committed rape and sexual violence, destroyed property and looted villages, and recruited children into their ranks.

Syria has become the centre of crisis where the civil war has busted out in the country in year 2011 and is still continuing with no sign of stopping. These civil war outbreaks have made the conditions of the state worse.  The immense humanitarian needs across Syria have been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, said Francesco Rocca, President of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC).

As per the 2022 records more than 14 million people need humanitarian assistance in this data 1.2 million have added this year. And in 2023, 15.3 million people needed humanitarian assistance which makes it the largest country in need of assistance. According to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA), localized hostilities, the economic crisis, the water crisis and public health emergencies, including cholera and climate-related situations, are expected to remain the main drivers of humanitarian need.

Yemen is another country destroyed because of the outbreak of civil war there. It has made the country’s situation worst among the world. This war has leaded an already impoverished country into a massive humanitarian crisis. The war break out when Houthi insurgents—Shiite rebels with links to Iran and a history of rising up against the Sunni government—took control of Yemen’s capital and largest city, Sana’a, demanding lower fuel prices and a new government.

Nearly twenty-five million Yemenis remain in need of assistance, five million are at risk of famine, and a cholera outbreak has affected over one million people. All sides of the conflict are reported to have violated human rights and international humanitarian law.

Roughly 80 percent of Yemen’s population required humanitarian aid, including over 12 million children. UNICEF warned that the number of children under the age of 5 who suffer from acute malnutrition could rise to 2.4 million in 2020. The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) reported in October 2019 that 50 percent of Yemeni children are experiencing irreversible stunted growth.
