The battle by Palestinian militants to leave Israel in unprecedented conditions has come under the worst civil unrest. Israel's ground forces entered the Gaza border early on Friday and attacks on the Gaza Strip could be stepped up. The army is being supported by air strikes while the Gaza to Israel is being continuously attacked with rockets. Egypt made ceasefire efforts but progress was not made.

Israeli military spokesman Lt Col Jonathan Conricus confirmed the ground attacks in Gaza but said that we are yet to enter the Gaza Strip. More than 1,600 rockets have been fired by Palestinian militants and Hamas in the southern part of Israel in the middle of the civil war in the country. Gaza officials say Israel has completely destroyed many buildings, offices and houses, selectively destroying Hamas targets. In addition to air strikes, Israeli troops resorted to shelling from tanks deployed along the border. 119 Palestinians including 31 children and 19 women have been killed while 830 people have been injured. Meanwhile, Israel has asked 9,000 soldiers to be ready for ground invasion in the Hamas-ruled region and move their people on the border into bunkers. It shows that the war is on the rise.

Hamas rejects ceasefire offer, screams of horrific attacks reverberate far and wide: On Friday, Saleh Aruri, a senior Hamas exiled leader, told a London-based channel that his group had refused to take a three-hour ceasefire proposal for full ceasefire and talks. He said Egypt, Qatar and the United Nations are leading ceasefire efforts. The Israeli army said the air and ground strikes in Gaza were so horrific that people's screams were heard in the city several kilometres away.

Civil war continues in many cities: Accordingto The Fourth Night in Israel, communal violence continues to lead to civil war. Clashes broke out in the town of Laud eunaubetween Jewish and Arab groups. The clashes took place despite orders to increase the presence of police. This war has sparked decades of horrific Jewish-Arab violence in Israel. In al-Aqsa Mosque compound, police fired tear gas shells and hurled grenades at protesters.
