Ravindra Jadeja, the senior all-rounder, was taken to a Leeds hospital on Saturday for precautionary scans to determine the extent of a knee injury he received during the third Test against England. Jadeja, who has featured in all three Tests, injured his knee while fielding during an innings on the second day of the match, which India lost by an innings and 76 runs. On his Instagram profile, Jadeja shared a photo of himself in medical attire with the comment "Not a nice place to be at."
As of now, the Indian team's management does not seem concerned, claiming that the situation is not "particularly severe." The Indian squad is scheduled to depart for London on August 30, and if the scan findings indicate nothing significant, Jadeja will travel with them.
Let's tell you that veteran off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin may replace Jadeja in the fourth Test, which begins on September 2 at the Oval. Before the Test series, Ashwin had played a County game for Surrey, collecting six wickets in an innings.
