New Delhi: The second match of the three-Test series between India and South Africa is being played in Pune. Today is the third day of the second Test match. On the second day, India declared first innings on 601 runs with the help of double century of captain Virat Kohli. By the end of the second day's play, India had dropped three wickets for 36 runs from South Africa in the first innings. Mohammed Shami gave the visiting team the first blow in the day's play. Nightwatchman Enrich Nortje was caught by Shami at the hands of Virat Kohli.
India extended their innings on the second day by captain Virat Kohli and vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane by 273 runs for 3 wickets. Virat scored a magnificent double century while Rahane was dismissed for half a century. Kohli and Rahane shared a 178-run partnership for the fourth wicket. Rahane was dismissed for 59 runs. After the fourth wicket fell, Virat teamed up with Ravindra Jadeja and made his century after 10 months. Kohli completed his century off 173 balls with the help of 16 fours. He then completed a double century with 28 fours off 295th ball. Kohli shared a 225-run partnership for the fifth wicket with Jadeja.
