NEW DELHI: Addressing the nation during the 77th Independence Day celebrations at the Red Fort, Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveyed his vision that India would attain developed status by 2047.

During his speech from the iconic Red Fort, the Prime Minister declared, "As we celebrate the centenary of our independence in 2047, India will stand proudly as a developed nation."

PM Modi's optimism stemmed from a comprehensive assessment of the country's capabilities, available resources, and, notably, the potential of its youth. He emphasized that the forthcoming five years represent a "golden opportunity"

to materialize the aspiration of achieving developed nation status by 2047.
Within his address, Prime Minister Modi underscored that the choices made today would cast a profound impact on the nation's trajectory for the next millennium.

"I extend my gaze across the last thousand years because I discern a fresh opportunity ahead for our nation. Our actions during this period, the sequence of measures we undertake, and the determinations we make will shape our country's course and destiny for the ensuing thousand years," articulated PM Modi.

Highlighting the current advantages of a burgeoning population, a robust democratic framework, and rich diversity, the Prime Minister stressed, "Today, we possess the confluence of demography, democracy, and diversity – an amalgam that possesses the potency to transform our national aspirations into reality. The synergy formed by these three elements holds the key to realizing our nation's aspirations," he concluded.
