Haryana independent MLA Balraj accuses of fraud of 14 crores, case registered

Chandigarh: In Haryana, a Rs 14 crore fraud case has been registered against campaign independent MLA Balraj Kundu, his brother Shivraj Kundu and his company officials Mohammad Hashim and VK Lamba on a complaint filed by a city resident. A senior police official has said that a case has been registered against the said persons under sections 420, 467, 468, and 506 of IPC on the complaint of Change Singh of Sector 51.

The complaint says that Balraj of Nirvana country of Sector 50 and two officers of his brother Shivraj and construction company KCC Buildcon had floated a tender for a road construction project of Rs. 75 crore in Madhya Pradesh. According to the complainant, after the deal, his company started work on September 26, 2017, and completed 55% of the work by September 2020.

He said that his company had sent a total bill of Rs. 41 crore to KCC Buildcon, but he was allegedly paid only Rs. 27 crores. Parivartan Singh said that he requested to give Rs 14 crore several times, but the accused refused. The complainant claimed that the MLA misused his office and power and threatened him to face serious consequences.
