Miscreants shot JMM leader Shankar Rawani and his wife

Dhanbad: A case of brutally murdering Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) leader Shankar Rawani and his wife in Dhanbad district of Jharkhand has come to notice. The unidentified assailants were told to shoot them and then kill them by strangulation. The blood-soaked bodies of the two were recovered from the courtyard of their house. Senior SP Asim Vikrant Minz of Dhanbad has given information in this regard.

Dhanbad SSP has informed that Shankar Rawani and his wife Balika Devi were killed late Saturday night in Bumblebee village under the Sudamdih police station area. The blood-soaked bodies of the two have been recovered from their home on Sunday morning. The police have also recovered a pistol from the spot. 50-year old Shankar Bawani was also the Vice-Chairman of the Dhanbad Metropolitan Committee.

It is reported that the people in the neighborhood were suspected of not having any move in the house. After which the murder case was disclosed. As soon as the incident was reported, DSP AK Sinha of Sindri, Bhaura OP incharge Kalka RAM, Sudamdih Thana Incharge, and several police stations rushed to the spot and started the investigation. The DSP said that the police has seized a knife and 9 mm pistol from the spot, the case is currently under investigation.
