New Delhi: India's Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar has lashed out at the American media, saying that the so-called Liberal media that speaks in English is biased about Kashmir. S. Jaishankar has said that due to the prejudiced attitude of the American media, India is facing problems in clarifying its stand on Article 370 of the Constitution.

Addressing US-India Leadership, an event organized by the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum, External Affairs Minister Jaishankar said that on its decision of Section 370, India wants to tell the US lawmakers about its stand, but the US media It is becoming difficult to do so because of prejudiced attitude. S. Jaishankar has used "English-speaking so-called liberal media" for American media.

S. Jaishankar further said, "I think it was a more difficult challenge with the media, especially the English-speaking liberal media. Partly, because they were ideological about Jammu and Kashmir, and they had strong preset views about it. My view was that they didn't present a fair picture or absorb it." The Foreign Minister said that the abrogation of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir was an internal issue of the Government of India and it was done for the interests of the people of Kashmir.
