New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi inaugurated the 200th birth anniversary celebrations of social reformer and founder of Arya Samaj Dayanand Saraswati on Sunday (February 12). During this, the Prime Minister also unveiled the logo of the Jubilee celebrations. Addressing the program here, PM Modi said that India is showing pride in its heritage with tremendous self-respect and it will strengthen its traditions while introducing modernity.

PM Modi said that there is no discrimination in the policies and efforts of the country and its aim is to serve the poor, backward, and deprived on priority. India is showing the way to the whole world in the field of environment. It is a matter of pride that India is presiding over the G20 this year. He said that today the country is saying with full confidence that we will strengthen our traditions by bringing in modernity.

PM Modi said that the country is running on the path of heritage and development. When he talks about walking on the path of duty, some people say that he talks about duty, not right. If this is the case with me in the 21st century, then think 150 years back what kind of difficulties Swami Dayanand would have had to face in showing the way to society.
