Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Friday that India is working around the clock to ensure the safety and evacuation of Indian residents in Ukraine, which is now engulfed in turmoil.
PM Modi said during a rally in Mirzapur, Uttar Pradesh, that the Centre had previously brought back Indian citizens who had been struck around the world.
In reference to the enormous evacuation plan known as ""Millions of our Indians were stranded all over the world during COVID," PM Modi stated when a large number of Indians were brought back to India during the COVID-19 pandemic. India's Operation Vande Bharat assisted all of its nationals in returning home. Thousands of Indians were caught in Afghanistan's conflict, so we launched Operation Devi Shakti and rescued a large number of them."
"India is working around the clock to bring back every citizen, including our students, who have been caught up in the conflict. 'Operation Ganga' has allowed us to securely evacuate thousands of students from Ukraine "He mentioned this while explaining on the government's efforts to safely return Indians from Ukraine amid Russia's military operations.
Prime Minister Modi stated, "Indian planes are regularly flying over the area to bring people who are still trapped there home. Because Maa Ganga's name is tied with the campaign, I am confident that it will be effective." The Centre, as part of Operation Ganga, is making every effort to evacuate Indian nationals trapped in Ukraine's crisis.
