Geneva: Describing India as "one of the leaders of the Global South", the President of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) Csaba Korosi said that there are great similarities between Indian strategic thinking and the United Nations on the need for change in the world. He said that I see great similarities between the Indian strategic thinking about how this world should look, what change this world needs, and the thinking in the assembly about how we should change ourselves.

Korosi is going to come to India on Sunday (January 29) on a three-day tour. His discussions with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar are likely to focus on India's participation in the UN body as well as on sustainable water use. Korosi said that India is one of the largest economies in the world and is about to become the most populous country on the planet.

The President of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) further said, 'India is well aware that this world is changing very fast. India is facing many of the same crises that we are also facing, in different forms, by connecting with each other, all over the world, India is looking for its own solutions in many ways, for example, not Presenting not only for itself but also for many other countries.'
