New Delhi:  The work of strengthening forces is continuing amidst the tensions at the border with China, Pakistan and Nepal. The Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) Bipin Rawat may get the first TRAI service command to the Indian Airforce on 8 October, which will handle the air defence of the entire country. At a time when the nation has a double challenge like China and Pakistan, then the formation of such a command can prove very beneficial.

According to sources, its objective is to bring all the three service facilities of the army under one command, so that the country's airspace can be kept safe. It is noteworthy that Air Force Day is on 8 October, on which day the Tri-Service Command is to be announced. Initial preparations to create this command have been completed. The Military Affairs Department under the leadership of CDS has ordered to create a joint military, theatre command.

Along with this, discussion on Logistics Command and other issues is going on. CDS Bipin Rawat has discussed this issue with the Army Chief and the Air Force Chief. However, no separate post will be prepared for theatres command. Now it will be handled by an officer of the rank of Lieutenant General. Each service of the army has its own air defence setup. After the formation of this command, the air defence of the country will be strengthened by combining the strength of the three forces.
