During the Corona period, two engineers of Kanpur developed a ventilator. In which the risk of infection is not favourable. Its parts can be changed every time. Up to 10 patients can be supported at a time.

Two young engineers, Shivshankar Upadhyay and Shubhankar Banka have developed this medical ventilator named Rakshak under the startup TechBlaze Technological Systems Private Limited. In this, for just Rs 2,500, the respiratory channel, the set of parts that come in contact with the patient will be changed, which almost reduces the risk of infection. One of its features is that the emergency system is also attached to it. If one machine stops for some reason, the other will start. The cost of this ventilator has come to one lakh rupees, while the cost of commercial production will be just 80 thousand rupees.

Shiv Shankar and Shubhankar said that it has been prepared as per international standards. It has all the features, which are not even in the ventilator of Rs 15 lakh. He said that usually the ventilator is sterilized by chemical or bacteria-virus free. But there is doubt as to whether the interiors of pipes etc. have been completely sterilized. Often the virus is not completely eliminated in these parts. That is why ventilators are considered a cause of infection.
