Jaipur: In January 2013, Rahul Gandhi was fielded from Rajasthan in the political arena, at that time it was decided to make him the National Vice President in the meeting of the Congress Working Committee of Jaipur. After the defeat of the party in the Lok Sabha elections, he had left the post of president, but now after a year, the demand for handing over the Congress to Rahul Gandhi is being continuously raised from Rajasthan.

Lobbying to make Rahul Gandhi the Congress chief is being done by the leaders of Rajasthan Congress. On Tuesday, in the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting on Tuesday, Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot raised the demand to hand over the responsibility of party president to Rahul Gandhi again. This demand of Gehlot has been supported by Youth Congress chief Srinivas. Now Rajasthan's deputy CM and state president Sachin Pilot has also demanded to make Rahul Gandhi the national president of the Congress.

On Thursday, Sachin Pilot said in clear words that we all demand from Rahul Gandhi that he should again take charge of the party. The Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee has also passed a bailout resolution to make Rahul the party president again. Pilot said that all Congress workers and leaders in the country have a sincere wish that Rahul Gandhi should take over the president post of the party. In the last term too, he had taken many big steps towards strengthening the party. Once he becomes Congress President, there will be renewed vigour and enthusiasm in the party.
