Indian government on Friday evening has summoned Pakistan's top diplomat in Delhi in way to strongly protest the issue of changing the management of Kartarpur Gurudwara. The Pakistan government has formed a nine member project management unit under the Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETBP) that had no Sikh on it, lighting angry reactions by Sikh groups.
Ministry of external affairs spokesperson Anurag Srivastava said India conveyed to Pakistan's Action High Commissioner Aftab Hasan, "that this unilateral decision by Pakistan is highly condemnable" and "runs against the spirit of the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor which is also the religious sentiments of the Sikh community at large". At the ministry of external affairs headquarters. the diplomat was summoned for 20 minutes. The central government has already received many representations from the Sikh community over this development expressing grave concern at this decision by Pakistan.

Guru Nanak Dev, the founder of Sikhism has spent his last 18 years in this Gurudwara which is just a few kilometres away from the International border with India. The Gurudwara's management was under Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee and this is the first time that the Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee has been shredded off its management rights of the sacred Kartarpur Gurudwara.
