Monday manifested to be marvelous for Indians when they secured and beat the opposition team England by 230 runs in the fourth One-day series. Prithvi Shaw and Shubman Gill slammed centuries as India U- 19 was eager to take the 3-1 lead in the five-match series.
Gill opened the series with Himanshu Rana and scored 83 runs for the first wicket. Rana decamped and Shaw and Gill proved a better partnership with 231 runs in just 164 balls for the second wicket.
Gill and Shaw together were unbeatable. Gill scored 138 with varieties like straight drivers, cover drives, sweeps, paddle sweeps and completed 150 runs in 115 balls. Shaw, on the other side, struck 12 fours and two sixes with 105 run off 89 balls.
Kamlesh Nagarkoti (4-31), Vivekanand Tiwari (3-20), Shivan Mavi (2-18) following Gill and Shaw played for 9 wickets to crush England U-19.
