The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced that Team India is going to play two day-night tests in the next year. At the same time, one of these test matches will be in Australia and the second test match will be in Motera, the world's largest cricket stadium made in India. This decision was taken in the board meeting of Apex Council on Sunday, 16 February 2020. Team India will host the England team at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Stadium in Motera, Ahmedabad. This test will be played with a pink ball. According to the report of Cricbuzz, a day-night test can be played between England and India at Motera Stadium in January-February 2021. The Indian team will play the Day-Night Test in Australia in December 2020. India played their first day-night Test against Bangladesh in November last year at the Eden Gardens ground and won.

According to reports, on the Australian tour, the Indian team will play a four-Test series, which will be played in Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth. At the moment it has not been decided which match of the series will be played with the pink ball.
