New Delhi: The corona epidemic continues to plague the entire country. Meanwhile, there is a huge shortage of oxygen, oxygen cylinders, Remdesivir and corona virus related devices. While the government has laid more emphasis on oxygen production in the last few days, oxygen has been supplied to various states by running oxygen express.

However, Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla has said on the situation of corona epidemic that we are working towards achieving more than 500 oxygen production plants from different parts of the world. We are working to acquire 4,000 oxygen concentrations, 10,000 oxygen cylinders from abroad, he further added.

On the other hand, the Foreign Secretary has informed that India generally produces 67,000 doses of Remdesivir daily, but at present we need two to three lakh doses. We have asked our producers to increase capacity, he added. Companies need raw materials. That is where we have the support of the US Government, which has assured to provide raw materials. In addition, the Foreign Secretary informed that he is also working to buy 400,000 vials of Remdesivir from Egypt.
