New Delhi: India Today Media Group's Deputy General Manager Indraneel Chatterjee has made a very derogatory post on Facebook about president-elect Draupadi Murmu. The post is now rapidly going viral on social media. Indranil Chatterjee's LinkedIn profile says that he is the deputy general manager at the India Today Group. Let us know that today the India Today Group has dismissed Indranil from the post, regretting his comments.

In the post, Indranil wrote, "Just as I don't support gay marriage, I don't support a tribal president. He insulted Draupadi Murmu and wrote, "Some chairs are not for everyone. There is an honour attached to them. Do we allow a sweeper to perform Durga Puja? Can a Hindu teach in a madrasa? This is nothing but a very lousy socio-political gimmick by the ruling party to make the rubber stamp constitutional head so that laws can be easily passed by showing a grudge to the opposition parties.''

Talking about the presidency of India, Indranil further wrote, "Today we have insulted not only that chair of Raisina Hills, but also people like APJ Abdul Kalam, Pranab Mukherjee, S Radhakrishnan, Zakir Hussain, Dr Shankar Dayal Sharma and Rajendra Prasad. However, after the post went viral on social media, Indranil deleted his Facebook account.'' According to Indranil Chatterjee's LinkedIn profile, he is the deputy general manager and regional head of the former at the India Today Group. India Today Group on Friday (July 22, 2022) sacked its Kolkata-based Deputy General Manager Indranil Chatterjee for posting derogatory and indecent posts against the country's new His Excellency Draupadi Murmu.
