New Delhi: India's first innings on the third day of the fourth and final Test between India and Australia at Brisbane has come down to a 10-day run. In response to Australia's 369 runs, team India went all out with 336 runs. Thus, Australia has got a lead of 33 runs on the first innings basis. On behalf of India, Shardul Thakur scored the highest 67, while Washington Sundar, playing his first match, played a useful inning of 62 runs.

At one moment, India's score of 6 wickets fell to 186. But then Shardul Thakur and Washington Handsome took the team. The two lashed out at the Australian bowlers and made frank shots. Washington Handsome and Thakur teamed up with 123 runs for the seventh wicket. Rohit Sharma-44, Shubman Gill-7, Cheteshwar Pujara-25, Ajinkya Rahane-37, Mayank Agarwal-38, Rishabh Pant-23, Washington Sundar-62, Shardul Thakur-67, Navdeep Saini-5, and Mohammad Siraj-13 were out while T Natarajan was not out on 1 run.

While Josh Hejalwood took the highest 5 wickets on the Australian side. Mitchell Stark and Pat Cummins had two wickets each while Nathan Lyan's account came to a wicket.
