Army Chief Narwane to visit Ladakh amid China dispute

New Delhi: Army Chief MM Narwane will visit Ladakh amid tension continuing on the Line of Actual Control (LAC). This tour will be soon. Narwane will inspect the existing conditions and security arrangements. Chinese soldiers are blown away by the kind of courage that Indian soldiers have displayed in the Galvan Valley. The Indian Army's courage is strong. On behalf of the government, three army chiefs have been given a free hand to deal with any situation.

Meanwhile, the Corps Commander level talks between India and China are continuing on Monday on tensions over LAC. Negotiations between the two armies are going on in Maldo, China. The meeting has been called at the request of the People's Liberation Army. The kind of valor that the Indian Army has shown in Galvan has made China nervous. Now China has requested a meeting on tensions over LAC.

The high-level talks are taking place a week after 20 Indian soldiers were killed in violent clashes with Chinese troops in the Galvan Valley. The Indian delegation is led by 14 Corps Commander Lt Gen Harinder Singh in the talks. The first round of Lt. General level talks was held on June 6 in which both sides decided to remove troops from all sensitive areas.
